Branding Trends on Wheels

Leap ahead trends, before others do..!
The thought of running a successful business will definitely bring some buzz words into mind and branding stands in the front. Change is something so inevitable, but what happens in branding is not a mere change, but it’s a revolution. With each January spreading its wings, everyone takes a retrospection to the lesson previous year taught us, as well as a look forward anticipating trends aplenty. This article is the same, through the lens of latest branding trends.

Building Connections, Not Only Sales
If increased sales were the motive early days, its customer relation now. That means, all the one-way streets leading from healthy brands to their audience have been resurfaced and re-routed to accommodate two-way traffic. Accommodating more connections or customer relations seems to be a major concern now a days, which promises a long run benefit than accumulating some sales and the customers left behind after that.

Go Live on Video
Live video has been on an upward streak for the last few years, but 2017 will be the year when it fully takes off, utilized by more brands and more individuals than ever. Today’s customer demands for a more in-the- moment updation than being announced later. And sharing your story via live video is the absolute answer for their concern. It also brings about customer journey and building connections, not hard selling. This growing trend is expected to bring more apps offering “live streaming” functionality.

We Care for Nature Notions

“Go Green, Save Earth” and such concepts became the most celebrated notion among the leading companies. It’s a very plain tool of branding, so soothing that no one identifies it as a branding. Brand pioneers paving a path to an environment- friendly, greener future will be joined by many more in 2017. This consumer scenario spots more customers preferring eco-friendly products, which other ways through more light on the need to upheld we care for nature notions.

Go Personal and Emotional

This is the period of personal and emotional branding. Everyone seeks for individual priority and such personal and emotional messages overwhelm the customers, in branding too.  Humanizing the brand with an emotional piece of content and let your brand win a place right inside their heart. This will create a brand experience which the customers and brands treasure alike and it’s simple too.
In the book “Brand Immortality: How Brands Can Live Long and Prosper”, authors Hamish Pringle and Peter Field analysed 1400 case studies of successful advertising campaigns and found that the ad campaigns with purely emotional content almost doubled the performance of ads with only rational content(31% vs. 16% boost in profitability). So, let the emotions drive your brand.

Peak Time for Augmented Reality

Augmented reality is otherwise called hybrid reality and it refers to the merging of physics and virtual worlds, to allow physical and digital objects to interact in real time via smartphone screens and other devices. The booming fondness towards Pokemon Go craze showed millions of consumers started interacting with AR for the first time. Now you can expect to see more brands coming out of AR games, AR ads and attempts to capitalize on AR apps that already exist.

A brand is alive and must be fed and nurtured to stay healthy and to grow. Since a brand represents everything about a business: what it is, what it produces, what values it stands for and what people it employs, brands should be tenderly cared and nurtured. 2017 will ignite brands as more humane, losing the elitist, impersonal and unapproachable skins.
So, these were tipping to be the major trends in branding for 2017. What do you think, have we missed any upcoming fashions? Let us know what you think, come comment below!
